FunKaam - Features To Come

As I commented earlier at Rosalin's article on the origin of Funkaam - I am still working on adding features to FunKaam.

At present, you can do the following things:

Participte in the forums - create new topics of discussion, contribute to discussions and so on
You can comment on the articles
You can visit each others profile and leave messages at their guest books

I am working on few more features. The following are the features that might get included:

Buddylist - you can designate others as your friends
Invite a friend - you can send mail to your friends and collegues and get them into FunKaam
User Points - I am not very sure about this, but we will be giving it a shot
Private Messages - You can send messages to each other. This will be different from guest book. A guest book can be viewed by any member of Forum. This will let you send private messages to each other.

As I said, I am still working on getting these features into FunKaam. Adding these features should not cause any downtime - hopefully.

The Private Messages has been implemented. You can access it in your 'My Funkaam' links (on the right) - My Messages.

So enjoy passing along little secrets to each other. :) For everything else, you can use the forums or the guestbooks.

Two more features have been added:

Buddylist - Yes. Now you can have buddies at FunKaam. You can go directly to the member's by typing the URL or you can go to the member's profile page by clicking on their link (if the member has a photo associated, you can click on that - or you can click on the name under a forum topic, article, or comment that they have written). Once you have sent a buddy request, the other member has to accept it. Once that is done, both of you are buddies and you can be seen in each others buddy list. Manage your buddy list at the 'My Buddies' link in the 'My FunKaam' navigation links (right top).
Invite your friends and collegues to join FunKaam - That is right. Use the 'Invite To FunKaam' link in the 'My FunKaam' navigation links (right top). You can send invitations by giving their email address. A mail will be sent to them with the registration link.
